Romney touts trade, immigration views in Washington state
SEATAC - White House hopeful Mitt Romney is campaigning in Washington state, offering himself as a champion of business and foreign trade.
The former Massachusetts governor also told reporters at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport late Monday morning he will be a strong foe of illegal immigration.
He took a jab at the national Republican frontrunner, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, calling him soft on illegal immigration.
Romney is scheduled for meetings at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond and evening fundraisers in Medina. He’s the top GOP fundraiser in Washington and says he hopes to do well in caucuses and the state primary in February.
